This is a nice way to interactively work on learning the alphabet besides just picking the correct letter from a field of four letters and getting a smiley face. You start with matching letters on the alphabet and work up to putting the missing letters in the right spot. It's errorless so your student shouldn't get too frustrated. OTs can work on finger isolation, and visual discrimination. What I don't like about it is that the lower case letters are listed first, then capitals. As an OT who supports handwriting, I would prefer the activity to begin with upper case, which matches most handwriting curriculums. However, it might be some montessori thing that I'm not aware of ;)

This app is easy to use and no-nonsense. It would be good for practicing fraction concepts like measurement, comparing fractions, equivalent fractions, etc. It provides simple feedback and is easy to use. The downside of the app is you can't individually select fraction sets, difficulty, there is no tutorials to help students if they get the problem wrong and it does not take data.

This app works on visual perceptual skills and upper body stamina and is still age appropriate! You can roll the marble around the maze to pick up stars. The first two levels are pretty easy and then it gets more difficult. If rolling marbles by moving around the iPad is too difficult it also has a joystick mode that you can try. Also would be good for younger students and part of a OT motor group.

Story creator allows you to make your own electronic storybooks. You start a project, add drawing, picture or video, add text and record your voice and your'e done. The interface is easy enough for students to use. It is an excellent teacher tool as well. You can make social stories, step by step instructions for self-care or pre-vocational skills (a.k.a. video modeling) or end of year classroom "scrapbooks". Easy and excellent, what more can you ask for?!
